Here is the first Danbury Mint model that I have to show. A pure gloss black, 49’ Mercury. This car certainly captured the 40’s looks with its use of chrome and styling of the front and rear bumper, taillights, and labels. Other than that, this car was just a regular old family car back in the day. This car relates very closely to the Hudson Hornet (like the one depicted in the movie cars) and the 49’ Ford. This model features opening hood, doors, and trunk, and a removable spare tire and antenna. (Spare tire stored in the trunk) probably the most unique feature of all though, is that this car has an upholstered interior. From the carpet to the bench seats, front and back. You can actually feel the cushiony soft makeup of the interior when you place your finger on wither the seat or the floor.
P.S. None of the danbury mint cars ever came with branded cases, as far as I know, and none of them had tags. Also, none of my cars have their original boxes or paperwork. Im saying this now, so I do not have to specify for each car.
