I came across this article amongst my grandfathers things. He was in the USAF stationed in the UK for many years. He was an all around athlete and here he is in the upper right hand corner, Bruce Van Ness. He always told me stories and showed me pictures. Many of which I have today.

I can’t seem to find anything on a UK Baseball World Series? This year was 1956.

Does anyone know where to find info on it?

Thanks for posting this newspaper clipping. My father is in this article. Like you I've been trying to find information on these baseball teams and the players. My father is Gerald Baker who played for the eventual 1956 champion Bentwaters Thunderbirds. He is pictured standing on the left in the back row. He passed last year and I'm putting together memorabilia of his younger days. He was a star baseball and football player in high school too. Thanks again. Jack Baker
