Do you like this piece of industrial
art? I look forward to your comments! Posted here: Serigraph, signed and dated 1959, by Howard Worner, a leading industrial artist of the 20th century, "J & L and the River" 96/100. Worner "joined the painting and design faculty at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Fine Arts in 1947 and taught there for 32 years." [Previous line from his obituary March 2006.] One of his students was Andy Warhol. A large collection of his paintings is housed at the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown OH (Wean collection). -- On reverse is written "Property of John J Pastin". Mr Pastin was the Director of the United Steelworker's Office and Technical Department (born 4/7/1911, died 1/9/2000).
