Hello everyone!!
About 5 years ago, I posted a 1940's bronze huntsman hare. This is another bronze huntsman hare I have in my collection. It's much older than the one I previously posted. Unlike the previous one I posted, this one is solid bronze and much more detailed than the one made in the 1940's. You'll also notice the difference in the hunting horns as well. This one measures 7 1/4" tall and the previous one I posted is 8 1/4" tall. Though smaller, this one is twice the weight of the one that I previously posted 5 years ago. If you look at pic #4 you'll see the great difference between the two. I have two fox versions of two hare versions of this.
Thank you all for stopping in for a look!!
Scott
they both are nice, of course I like the one you posted today.
With 2 fox and 2 hare - does that equal ?????
Yes i can see quite a difference in them although I would happily have either!
Your smaller one is so beautifully made and designed, Scott. More proportional, and the posture is fantastic!
Very handsome huntsman hare, he may be smaller but his bronze patina is a standout - great new addition Scott
Thanks very much Lori! I do keep the foxes separated from the hares:)
Thanks Karen!! I too like them both, but I too love the smaller one best. The smaller one is detailed so well that even his fingernails are very defined. The larger one is not.
Thank you Jenni!! I too love the patina of this one best.

Thanks Eileen! I've always thought of his attire as being a huntsman outfit, but have been told by some that it's a WW1 soldier uniform. So, not really sure. This one is from the 1920's and the larger one is from the 1940's.
