When I first discovered this model, among the others found stuffed in my family members basement, I thought it was an Eldorado, only recently did i find out that the technical name for this model was the series 62. I think that this model was a huge win for the Danbury Mint, an im surprised they were able to pull it off. Car has full metal body and undercarriage, with plastic-parted interior. The model has opening doors, hood and trunk, with the realistic felt carpet. It even has an antenna, and a folding armrest on the front seat. I really wish that Danbury Mint or Franklin Mint made this model in a hardtop version. I have seen many models of this car, weather its 1/24 scale, 1/43 scale or 1/18 scale, but they are usually in convertible form. The only time I have ever seen a hardtop for this model of car is on a promo model. This model is in mint condition.
Wow, we must think alike..I just pulled 2 cars for Matchbox Monday..and 1 was a 59 caddy!
Those fins and the dual tail lights are beyond classic.
