Going through Mom’s “Treasures”. Does anyone know what this tool is? I’m stumped. It’s 9” long 3” wide.
She knitted, made vintage clothes, embroidered and had a spinning wheel if any of that helps. Or it could be unrelated...
Thank you
Carving fork for holding a turkey, roast, etc. for carving.
Maybe but it was in with her sewing and the handle is pearl like...
I agree that it is a meat fork for use when the meat is being carved.
Since your mom had it in her sewing box, it may have been the perfect size to use when she was making Pom-poms....or she may have used it is a measuring tool to be sure pleats were evenly spaced... having sewn since childhood, I can think of several applications for it but it’s original use was at the dining table or in the kitchen. :-)
Smart lady, your mom!!
