This is the first model that i have completed restoration on. The cars front windshield pieces had fallen off, and the white walls of the tires had turned yellow on one side, also the tires themselves were moldy from being in a cardboard box for such a long time. I took the entire car apart, and interestingly enough, the body of the car separated into two sections. I attempted to use bleach to fix the yellowed white walls, but it did not work, so I took apart the wheels, and repainted all four white wall pieces so they matched, I then scrubbed the tires with a scrubby brush, and soap, and then I re - glued the windshield. Putting the car back together was pretty easy, and it only involved lining up the steering column correctly, and putting back a few screws. Since there wasnt any broken pieces on this car, and because I managed to put the car back together exactly how it was before, i would consider this car mint. Unfortunately this model never really was the most valuable out of the majority of the danbury and franklin mint models, with the average value hovering around 20 - 35 dollars. But still, i would say this car has retained its beauty.
Nice!! Outstanding restoration!
