Country Music Memorabilia
These are some items that I've found in my parents estate. My dad was into old country, western and blue grass music. He had retired from the Air Force in 1973. Him and mom frequented the Mcchord AFB NCO club on a frequent basis.
The newsletter is from the Mcchord AFB NCO, October 1972. I showed a picture of the back because it showed magician Mandrake and the group Family Affair. There is also some other NCO items shown and a button from a local folk life festival.
Here's my other items from the NCO and around the same era..

Some really awesome memorabilia!! $2.00 to see Hank Thompson and Little Jimmy "Tater" Dickens. Money well spent!!
My first Springsteen concert, in 1978, cost $5.00. I also saw Bob Seger in 1978 for $5.00. The last time I saw Springsteen was in 2011 and I had to pay $125!!!!! My how the times have changed.
Saw several Judas Priest concerts, Pearl Jam and some others..
later I saw ZZ Top in concert...that was wierd, because they had banned all smoking at that point. It was kinda like sitting in your living room and watching TV.
Totally different experience than Priest, where people were dancing naked in the pit and fireworks going off, Jack Daniels fifth bottles everywhere, police car turned over..aww the good ol days!
Had 10 years after on cassette tape...guess I need to find a CD to replace it. Forgot all about them...
