Fluorite Octahedron

Picked this beauty up at a show recently. Its a fluorite octahedron cleaved by one of the miners at the fluorite mining district in Hardin Co. Illinois/Cave in Rock. It sure does look like a former Ross Lillie specimen who was an geology engineer for the mines in that district. Filled with Marcasite and dolomite inclusions and has some amazing zoning to it. Cleaving fluorite is an art form that takes a lot of practice and in some ways similar to knapping arrowheads. Miners would do this on their break times.
