Here is some 60’s American muscle for you. (Besides the corvette’s). This car had a mangled antenna when i found it, and it was also really dirty. Underneath the dirt i discovered that the paint was a bit faded, as well as the rear bumper. I took the rear bumper off, and polished/ waxed with meguiars 3 in 1 wax. Then, i snapped off the old antenna, and used a pair of flat edged model scissors to cut off the stump that was left behind. I then proceeded to use a small drill bit to drill out the hole from where the rest of the old antenna post still was. (Yes i made sure the drill bit was the same diameter as the antenna) then, i took a mint condition antenna off a parts car 1969 danbury mint Camaro I had lying around, and placed it on the mustang. Fit like a glove, and not only that but it holds with enough resistance that it will not come off easily. I then waxed the whole car, put the rear bumper back on, buffed it, and called it all done!
Great model. My mom had the actual car in TURQUOISE in 1967, she LOVED her Mustang!
Very cool!
