Great to have and share this illustration of your father!
Welcome to cw. May want to look into uploading your images-- there is information on how to adjust so they appear correctly.

Beautiful pastel.
Thanks all for your comments!! Much appreciated!!! Thanks Scott...I use my phone to post...it won’t let me configure the layout of my post....as I don’t have a PC to do so.??????????????
A stunning portrait. You may want to have it professionally framed with acid free paper backing and UV filtering glass. It is worth preserving for sure
Yes...at some point I would like to have that done...I had it appraised by one of Antique Roadshow’s appraisers; she appraised it for $85.00...because she couldn’t find much on Graziella’s portrait work...however, I do think her appraisal was a bit low. My opinion of course.
The Roadshow is fine for market value. The personal and emotional value of a piece like yours can not have a price put on it.
I was so excited to see this drawing of your father. I too, have a drawing just like this that Graziella Jacoby did of my father at the Pasadena Hospitality House. It was done prior to him leaving for Okinawa. It has been professionally framed and hangs proudly in my home, out of direct sunlight. Our neighbor is a fireman, and he has express instructions that this is the MOST important item to save from our home! Forget the house! Save my Dad"s portrait!! LOL. How fortunate we are.
