1893 Seth Thomas adamantine mantle clock - before

Here is a clock that i purchased at James P. Standish Clock Repair of west hartford, Connecticut.This clock is working fine mechanically, with the hour and half hour gongs both working fine. It will need some significant cleaning and polishing as there is residue all over the case from previous waxes and polishes, and some old paint that had dried to the finish. There are also some engravings on the face of the clock that will need to be cleaned out as polish and wax has built up inside them, making them hard to see and less attractive to the eye. I will be putting up a second post as a progress update/ finale to the project.
