This large 3 1-2" lily flower pinwheel design brooch has textured open cutout goldtone petals with white rhinestone accents. Signed Hattie Carnegie (1939-1970) in cartouche ca 1950s

Very nice. I thought Hattie only did the larger ornate to eccentric pieces and have not followed her jewelry too close. But this is one I would add to my collection for sure. Love the RS center with the cut out leaves(petals). Very classy. - Lori

Thank you Lori for the lovely praise for this Carnegie flower, if you would add that to your beautiful collection I am truly flattered! You are on target about Hattie Carnegie jewelry, much of it is over the top and a bit "out there" (for example, she almost always made wild beasts like lions with their teeth bared as if attacking, which is kind of a disturbing image in jewelry) but I've been lucky to find several nice pieces esp figural, and nowadays her stuff is getting quite pricey
