Here is a 5 1-2"H dark amber glass penguin with open clear sculpted wings, a Ronald Stennett Willson design for Wedgwood Glass of England from the 1970s with orig label

Cute little guy- reminds me of those baby penguins you see, really fluffy and brown in colour- his wings/flippers(?) are also flowing rather than the little sickle limbs they do have- he's a great little piece! :D

Karen thanks so much for your awesome compliment, I think Stennett Willson did a great service to Wedgwood starting a glass animal line when they were primarily known for their porcelain plates & such. There are still many lovely animals out there I've got my eye on

Thanks Scott for your super comment, I think you have the gold standard of penguins with your cast iron beauties, the ones with the scarves are a delight at the holidays. As a matter of fact it's snowing outside, we are getting a two day storm & I'm sure after all the snow shoveling I'll be feeling like a penguin lol
Lauren thank you for your wonderful praise and yes, the wings are interesting as compared to the chicken type wings most real penguins have! This is a VERY thick and heavy glass piece, it was a bit hard to maneuver around to take good photos but very glad you enjoyed him & found him cute :)
