[see also: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/292335-white-rotary-sewing-machine-in-oak-cabin?in=activity for pics of the cabinet it lives in]

Here's some closer pics of the machine itself. Front and back in the first two, #3 is its serial number tag, # FR 3045708, and motor ID tag. [ serial# correction courtesy of fellow member keramikos -- THANK YOU! ]

Even though I probably don't remember how to operate a sewing machine, I think this one's gonna be a "keeper"...I've already got one or two newer/much less interesting ones if I really did wanna try to use such a thing these days...? ;-) :-)

MORE INFO WELCOMED from anybody that'd care to contribute, at least until I get a chance to research it myself?!! :-) :-) :-)

AnythingObscure, So ya got yourself another sewing machine, and this one you might actually use, huh? };-)

White, as you probably know, was Singer's biggest competitor, and made a quality machine.

That serial number isn't PR 3045708, but rather FR (as in Family Rotary) 3045708. Per treadleon dot net, that would date it to after 1923:

      *snip*

      FR 3020912 1923

A manual for a White Rotary:

Here's a 1923 White Rotary (the serial number looks like FR 3023606) in a Martha Washington cabinet in action:

You didn't show us the cabinet, but there are pictures of the most common ones White made at that treadleon dot net page.

Here's my collection of links for you to peruse (I just noticed the time, and need to get myself into gear):

      Hey, AnythingObscure. :-)

I'm getting ready to revamp my vintage sewing machine help, and as part of it, I'm planning to re-use some of your pictures of this particular White Rotary.

I figure you don't mind, but if you do, just say the word.
