Here's another piece of old oak furniture recently inherited, this time a coat rack. It stands a full 6' tall on its four legs (about 28" across, pic 3) and has 6 bent wood (?) double hooks to hang coats and things from. (pic 2) Its top portion features a nifty collar-like junction between it and the stand it sits on/in, which allows it to rotate. (pic 4) I do not know exactly how old it is nor who might have manufactured it, if there are any marks or labels on it I haven't found them yet.
I was planning to give it a quick dose of OldEnglish but ran out of steam to do that today, but I dusted it off and took the pics anyway. Mebbe we'll call this the "before" pics when/if I do get around to the OE treatment -- I bet that'd make it look even prettier than it is now, which ain't too bad the way it sits IMHO...? ;-) :-) :-)
