I inherited this elephant from my grandmother years ago. Its 11×15 . I was hoping someone had some info on it. I have never seen one like it anywhere. It must be around 70 years old.

I see the horrendous scene here done with a lot of detail, telling its own story. The detail is such I would think it made overseas as in Germany as they had a big market for really well done porcelain. No size I see, or where you got it, any general idea ??

It belonged to my grandma. She was never in Germany. Lived in Long Island City most of her adult life. I was fascinated by it as a child it is 11" high and 15 " wide. I am 66, and she had it before that. Thank you for responding.

Made in Portugal. As you can see these tend to be missing the spear and/or the tusks. A very interesting piece indeed.

If in great condition its a very nice piece, I look at the pieces coming out of germany as the people there had very good taste and the quality is high as on this piece.
