    Interesting Bohemian small jug, possibly made pre WWI. Pale pink handle and feet with spiral twist stripe pattern on body. Top is ground flat. The petal feet are applied in a separate strip around bottom edge of conical body. No evidence of a pontil but it could have been fire polished. Height is 11 cms and width 6.5 cms across the feet. I have seen this colour combination in many Welz items, apart from jugs. Purchased online from England.

      Charming & distinctive piece of Welz...I have one identical, which I purchased at a flea market in inner city Sydney in 1995. Had no idea what it was at the time, just that I liked it a lot...it's pictured here with a matching candlestick -

      We seem to have similar tastes in glass, IronLace! I note also that the two Bohemian baskets that I recently posted have generated some interesting comments. I might have something that is rarely seen - that's if they are, indeed, Welz. Thanks again for the kind comment.
