The J. R. QUAID FENCE Company was doing business keeping people out of other people's business in New Orleans since way back when phone numbers were only six digits long!
This heavy little 8" X 4.5" enameled pig-iron sign was a common sight all over the city and lots of those fences are still in place and performing their function to this day! Good job, Mr. Quaid!

Don't whiz on the ELECTRIC FENCE!
Good advice from this screen-printed light sheet metal sign that looks like it might be from the late 1940s or early 1950s. There's no date or company name on this sign but there IS a really cool logo with a well-dressed man in a hat holding a hoop and getting a bolt of lightning to hop through it on command! WOW! They tamed and harnessed the power of electricity in order to benefit mankind! ...and to make fences that shock anyone who dares to ignore a brightly-colored warning sign!
I love a logo that says everything it needs to say without the use of words!
Cool sign! Thanks for sharing..
