UPDATE:
This Pansy Flower brooch is actually a Weiss piece of Mourning Jewelry. His company was known for these types of special pins – they are enameled in black (a process called “japanned”) and the black glass crystals are called Black Diamonds. These pieces are some of the most sought after pieces of vintage Weiss Costume Jewelry. This one is in pretty good condition, most of the enameling is in tact and all of the Black Diamonds are there. I believe the same for the bee.

Buzz...here is a nice set of BEE and FLOWER brooches - black rhinestones on japanned metal . I am not sure of the history of this set, where or when I got them, I discovered the two in my boxes of brooches just the other day. I think they maybe WEISS? But I don't know. Anyone at CW got a maker or direction to look??
I used the term japanned I hope that is the proper use for these 2 brooches. Lori
Nice! I really love the bee!!
Very elegant black pieces, I really like that scalloped petal flower brooch. Actually Weiss is a very good guess Lori, they made quite a bit of black including flowers (pansy) & insects (butterflies) - cool find!
Scott thanks for your words, the bee is what catch me at first, then the set made it better.
