Ok- I gotta admit when I seen this first I though 'oh cool. Jenni's uploaded a glass snail!' :P This is a really cute little abstract fish design. The pose makes me think he's cruising along the bed of the river scooping up the stones looking for something tasty maybe?!

Lauren I get the snail idea! Cool design.
Could be a snish, but not a fail.

Thank you Phil for your super comment, the amber glass here is pretty cool I agree & warms up this lil swimmer

Lauren you're right, it is a rather abstract fish design, one of Kanawha's later ones - the split tail is really unique, the WV glassmakers were always trying to be slightly different from their competitors yet fish & whales were a staple in those days. Will have to work on finding another snail 4 U, I do have a couple new animal varieties up ahead that I hope you'll like. Marvelous observ & great comment as always

Thank you Scott for your wonderful kind praise & enjoying this fish, I'm always glad to find another amber glass animal to make for a more colorful varied display on my shelves

Karen yes a snail-like fish, maybe orig idea was an eel?! From the back end it really does look like the poking up head of a snail, agreed. Thanks for your fun & thoughtful comment, gotta love an offbeat design right :)

Thank you sklo42 for the love, it is very kind of you & glad you liked this unusual amber glass fish

Lol Kinki, it seems many people saw a snail in this fish or "snish"! I just thought it had a weird tail but on looking again, yes I see it :) Now I am searching for a nice snail for you guys that I hope will actually look like a snail!!
