Custom made "stone", not a true repair, I only thought this antique pastes dog collar slide (big boy... 2.6" wide, 30 grams!) needed a complement to wear it as a pendant????.
Made with crumpled compressed tin foil adapted to the size, one layer of UV curing hard resin, colored with brown permanent marker, a thin layer of " galaxy staring" nail UV gel and finally another coat of UV resin.
It gets in force in place and is secured from the back with small points of resin, so I can get it off with no damage to the mount if needed.
Now looks like boulder opal ;-)
Aww, thank you Eileen!
Yes old and BOLD... Ladies needed a girafe's neck to wear such a beast as a dog collar :-)) Perhaps the reason it is in as new condition...
Wow such talent ! It is beautiful . I hope your doing well and always love to see your creations and collection xo
Hi Kyra!!
It's beautiful. You did a fabulous Kyratisation on this!! So happy to see you posting again!
Dear Manikin and Scott, thank you so much for your appreciation and lovely visit !
:-D
I hope you are as well as I am, and stay safe for this year too... this mess isn’t over yet :-(
The Cabochon that you made for this piece, but even without was still a winner. Love what you did, and I know when you create something new from a piece there is a magic there that when you are young especially, you feel top of the world. I have a whos that coming up, hope you catch it. This piece now is a true winner, no limit to your talent !~
This piece looks really big- it'd make a great statement piece, but I can't help wondering is she more of a bee shape rather than a butterfly shape?! I think it's the long body that makes me think bee but its very nice- the green eyes and the green/brown stone are great!
I so much love your improved version. A stunner and typically excellent kyratising!
Phil, thank you! It is always heartwarming to read your compliments! XO
LaurenRedmond, thanks! It is the antennae which made me say butterfly... One or the other, I call all these critters BZZ BZZ :-D
Karen, thanks! Right, this is only an improvement, and I too prefer it with a completed body ;-))
Mary, thanks! Yes, it needed big beads to go with its jumbo size, lol!
Love back to all of you, 18 BZZ BZZ lovers <3
Beautiful in everyway. You are so skilled!
Hi Elizabethan! Thank you for your lovely visit and kind compliment! :-D
