This vase is cranberry to clear with a cut and polished rim. It has a surface texture of frit and sixteen lobes. Craig and I bought them and split them three and a half years ago, The same shape in a Welz décor arrived today, and so confirmed Craig's suspicion that the cranberry/clear one is Welz. Coincidentally the spatter one is the same décor as previous post. I've had to show the direct shape comparison with them upside down due to the disparity in the height of the foot.
I'm pleased the evidence has finally emerged as Welz frit is not common. I only have one other, and that arrived last week!
Height 12cm./4 inches
AMAZING!! Love these welz beauties.

Last photo provides a very convincing comparison. Thanks.
Fantastic! I love Welz frit decors & consider myself so very fortunate to have three examples in pink & yellow. This is a super little vase, & the comparison shot is compelling indeed!
Beautiful - the color, shape and finish!
Well done Peggy!
That is delicious glass.
scottvez, Most amazing was to find the key to the ID three and a half years later!
Wow22, I'm very pleased you find the comparison convincing. It is very clear when the photo is enlarged.
You are indeed fortunate to have three Welz frit pieces, Marin. I hope to catch up one day.
Yes Michelle, it was always a nice little piece but, being me, I'm glad it turned out to be Welz.
Thanks for the congrats, Karen. It is rather refined for a Welz piece.
There's this one too in a Welz decor:

And how about this?:

Actually, is that last link a slightly different shape, where the lobes run right into the neck, like this one?:

Or are they all the same shape?
Wow22, Galling to find the ID proof was here all the time but neither of us looked in the right place. For those who remember Ian he sent me a cheery hello recently.
It's not unusual for Welz to add a different foot or different rigaree to a shape. I presume that would be to extend their range of products, without the cost of new moulds. I have no idea whether the one posted by Marin would be regarded as a variation or a different shape. What production literature has turned up doesn't go into that detail.
