This fan shaped nabeshiki (trivet) is 5.75" long on the two shorter sides, 6.5" long on the long side and 5.5" from the end of the handle to the middle of the fan. It is mold marked and came in its original box. I have not attempted to determine the maker, but guess it is probably 1950s-1960s based on the condition of the box. I am sure that it is Nanbu Tekki, though. I am not sure if it is new old stock or has just been stored in its box for years. The seller had two of them, so I suspect it is new old stock. I am not a huge fan (pun intended) of these fan shaped trivets but wanted one for my collection. This one came from Georgia! One of the last two kyusu I am buying came new (old stock) in the original box with a turtle themed fan trivet which I will post. My last two kyusu are coming from Japan and should be here in the next couple of weeks. My eyes are not happy at all so going to take a few days off from the computer but this arrived today, so I am doing a quick post.

This is the first fan shaped trivet I have seen Kevin and I really like it. They have done a great job with the modelling of it, so good I though it was a grey silk fan when I saw your thumbnail!
Sorry your eyes a bothering you so much. Any news on help for them?

Thanks for your comment, Jenni! This one has a simple elegant beauty, I think. The one in the mail is fancier.

Thanks Karen! My eyes were on the mend until we got several days of single digit and below zero Fahrenheit weather here and it is so dry that things got worse again. Looking at the computer is very uncomfortable, but I can see fine (pretty much) otherwise. Ran out of eye drops and the mail has been slow. Supposed to start warming up this weekend and my eye drops are due today, so think I will get back on track, soon. Thanks for your concern!

Thanks for your comment Eileen. Just about done with collecting Japan metal work. Might add a few more pieces if I find something neat that is cheap.

Thanks for loving my cast iron fan Eileen, RichmondLori, aura, Thomas, Vynil33rpm, fortapache, Watchsearcher, PhilDMorris, Kevin, dav2no1 and Jenni!
