Green Floral & Ribbon Bow Brooch circa 1940's. this brooch is amazing, the back is almost more interesting than the front, check out the construction. the green stone flowers (silver tone metal backing) piece is riveted onto the ribbon/bow (gold-tone) piece with 4 rivets. This piece appears heavy but it is not. the measures 3-1/4" from top bow to the last ribbon, and across it is 2-1/2".

I have done some research on it, there are no marks making research harder but the best estimate (I can with certainty) from the 1940's. that is all I have been able to find, the use of the larger 4 green open backed stones is similar to the work of Esinberg, Pomerantz, Joseff & other designers from the 1940's Hollywood's Glamor Era. Of course, remember this is a hobby of mine and I am no expert. If you can help identity this brooch, I accept all ..... Lori

I think it looks like early Mazer Bros. It's a beautiful brooch. I agree with your conclusion of the time period.

Thank you plein-air-painter, I did a search for Mazer Bros and ran across an article

in this article - scroll down to the picture of their 1940's unsigned BLUE BROOCH - I added the picture to my post - still not signed but I least I hit the mark on the years!

Thank you Maureen - plein-air-painter - I have marked this as solved as I too agree with your suggestion, and as Eileen and Mary agree - can't get better than that.

thank you both Eileen and Mary. !! :)

Valention97- thank you for your kind words and comment, this was one of my pieces that started my interest in the vintage jewel and who made them, the construction of this piece is unbelievable - made to last.
