The 7"W Multi Glass Japan bird has a turquoise & clear glass body with golden crest & flame pattern tail, ca 1980s

Very nice colour hues to these- they remind me of peasants or peacocks! the sleek elegant tails and the mix of green, blues and golds are lovely

It's fascinating how two objects of the same subject and in the same medium can be so different when we look closely.
I really like the Murano bird's use of colour in the body and that lovely tail. I also like how the Multi bird has such a pointy beak and crest, and a ail with attitude.
      Such a great pair!

Lauren thank you for your wonderful praise for these glass birds, yes I think they are very like pheasants or colorful peacocks too, and thought they looked good together. Too bad real pheasants have that drab brown color, but on the other hand peacocks are amazing, I saw them at a Hawaiian nature park walking across its front lawn, and the male had such iridescent coloring (its entire head was a reflective blue-green) and although the female colors are more subdued, she had a lovely white head crescent & long flowing white tail. I can't wait to visit HI again, someday when this health crisis is over we want to go back

Thanks Scott for your great compliment and absolutely agree they have that pheasant look although fantasy colored - birds make such wonderful artisan subjects as many of the real ones are so brightly colored. Earlier I was looking outside at a cardinal in the snow, nothing cheerier than a bright bird on a chilly February day in NY

Thank you MrsT for your lovely comment & finding these birds cute, I love the tropical type which have such pretty coloration. My stepdaughter is so lucky, she & her family live in Florida and are surrounded my birds such as these, as a matter of fact she used to own a lovely green Quaker parrot

Karen thank you for your fabulous kind praise, yes this pair is very different but harmonious together. The Multi Glass bird has such a regal crested head and the flame speckled tail is just brilliant, what a delightful design by that high quality glassmaker & you seem to have found some of their loveliest birds, I adore them all. The Murano is definitely colorful, the appeal for me there is the sommerso blended blue-green body, they seem to do that combination frequently & quite nicely
