NOTE: I re-posted the pictures. and would like to add that this set is 1950s Rhinestone Molded Glass Brooch by Judy Lee Jewels.
Blanche Viano, a fashionista and a beauty, in 1949, opened a small company Judy Lee for the sale of jewelry in Chicago (USA). However, the origin of the company name remains unknown. According to Blanche, the company was only a means of additional income for a young family. The jewels were sold at "jewelry parties", not in any stores. In 1968 the company closed, I think it was remaining product was continued to be sold until 1972.

(original post)This beautiful set looks as good as it did the say it was produced. I even asked the vendor if they cleaned them, his answer was no that's the way they came in this box too. the vendor refer to this as the peacock set beautiful beautiful beautiful.

      Lori,
These are very beautiful indeed and in amazing condition! Is that 10¢ price tag the original cost of this set?

Scott thank you for your kind words, and question. This is the first post I did with my phone (can't find my camera) and I see it is not that great. I will try to re-post the pictures (right side up).
to answer you, I don't think the tag came originally with this set, it just came with this sell. I know that Judy Lee started in 1949 until 1968. Prices were good and low back then, but 10cent, may be not. Lori

I think your phone captured these very nicely. I thought that price was awfully low for such a beautiful set.

Well, I just discovered that Judy Lee was a signature used by Blanch-ette, Inc. and was founded in 1949 by Blanch and Aldo Viano in Chicago, IL. So, the name Blanch-ette is to be researched updates to follow.

I want to thank all for the kind words & comments, and thank you for stopping to browse. As you may know this makes my 15th set of Judy Lee, and I am heading back to the vendor to re-think purchasing his other two set (excellent condition as this is) So, I have some research to do.......Judy Lee may have been sold by housewife after the war - at parties similar to tupperware - but who knows better then the women who run the house!!!!
