Beautifully glazed piece of pottery. A vase that I found at a thrift store! On the base it says OMC Japan. The way this reflects in the light is really pretty and hard to capture and pictures.

Any marks on the bottom besides the OMC (Otagiri Merchantile Company) sticker? Otagiri was an importer based in San Francisco, so did not make your vase. They have been out of business since the 1990s. They imported a lot of Japanese stuff into the USA. It has a Kutani look to me but if it is not marked, it is a crap shoot trying to figure out who made it. What are the dimensions, height and largest diameter?

Here is a brief article about OMC. It mistakenly identifies them as a manufacturer, but they were not.

There were several Japanese American owned import companies in California after WWII.
