Here's more from the 'costume jewelry bonanza' -- this time brooches and pins. Pic 1 shows the whole group from the front, pic4 the backside of each, pics 2 & 3 closer shots of each half of the group.

Top row, from left: two goldtone with 'leaf' motif, one with a small pearl accent; one goldtone 'intertwined rings'; silvertone 'braided chain in a bow', this one is flexible; two goldtone x-mas trees, one with red rhinestones

Middle row: silvertone fleur-de-lis; silver dragon; brasstone pineapple; red flowerbud with leaves; goldtone 'daisy' with many small petals (and a paper $2.00 price tag); goldtone 'flower-ish' shape with clear rhinestones

Bottom row: silvertone crab, "CANCER"; goldtone round wheel with two rows of small rhinestones around larger center stone; goldtone 'two flowers in a ring'; stickpin with a tiny little bit of whitish something; goldtone 'flower-ish' shape with green rhinestones and center

In particular the 'braided chain bow' and 'goldtone daisy' are interesting because they have unique clip clasps, also a conventional pin/fastener on the 'daisy'. (look close, pic 2) The silver dragon is solid and possibly real silver, it has a mark on its back I haven't been able to make out yet. The crab and fleur-de-lis are also possibly real silver, they too seem to have markings I need to look closer at. The flowerbud pin and pineapple also look like they might have marks on their backsides, everything else is unmarked near as I can see. The two 'flower-ish' at lower RH side are missing a few stones each including the center on the one with clear stones. The stickpin has only the tinest bit of something mostly whitish at its top, I don't know if that's all it was meant to be or whether the whitish is remains of an adhesive (?) that used to hold something else to it.

ONCE MORE, PLEASE just say the word if anybody has a particular clue about any of these, and/or if anybody wants to see something closer up -- I'll be more than happy to oblige! :-) :-) :-)

UPDATE to this showing in case anybody cares:

      a) I found a goldtone 'bee' that goes on the carded stickpin
      b) the red flowerbud pin is marked "(c)SANDOR CO"
      c) the small pineapple pin is marked "ALICE CAVINES STERLING"

That last one I wouldn't have guessed -- it does really look more brass than silver colored, so I suppose I should take a bit of silver polish to it and see what happens...??

I had most of these after my mother in law passed away. She taught school for 40 years and every holiday the kids would give her jewelry. I researched it and ended up giving most of it to a friend who was visiting from Cuba. This stuff brings a good price down there along with things like flashlights and batteries. They only have electricity a few hours during the day in places outside cities.
