    I had this rusty little bird flying around the nursery for a few years and i noticed that the rust had really gotten to it's belly. So i just filled it w/ lightweight self-hardening modeling clay and painted it w/ a marker. I think it will be an indoor bird now!

      thanks RichmondLori! i've been practicing my restoration skills with quite a few different pieces lately - using lots of different materials. it's kind of a fun new hobby for me to do in the evenings.
