Trench Art ashtray

Large, heavy trench art ashtray.

The tray itself sits on bullet legs and the cigarette rest leaves are attached by small sections of bullet casings. I took one apart when I first got this and don't remember the type of round. I do remember it was WW2 military.

The center piece was probably meant for cigarettes, but the wax residue tells me someone used it for a candle.

The four leave cigarette rests are a nice touch and a little unusual. I also like the overall patina/ untouched finish.
