Found in NJ 8ft under ground.. I have no idea where or who it could have come from..
This is my second time posting it.. I didn't have any luck on info last time.
I'm hoping this go around is different. So, if theirs anyone that thinks they would know anything, please feel free to comment.
Cool pipe..and please explain..were you digging with an excavator?
Yes, but then shovel too. when it was pulled out it was in a 6ft trench dug out by a excavator. but ,then it was dug out with a shovel. Im assuming it stayed in great shape because water never hit it.
Is it made of some sort of stone, then? (wood certainly wouldn't have survived, bone maybe...??) It is way cool no matter, I'm sorry I can't give any info on it!
(that bit about a 6' trench made me havta think OTOH...I sure hope it wasn't somebody's prize possession when they were ... ummm ... "laid to rest" . . . ?
<eeek><lol><eeek, again>
Hahahahaha!! Geez!! I hope not!! lol My husband works on gas & water pipelines.. So, IDK.. I was kina leaning towards A Lenape tribe since it was Jersey. But may also a African from back in the day carve it maybe???
