Here is the listing photos of an Al Capone’s armored Cadillac by the franklin mint that i just purchased. The car is very dusty, it is missing all of its extras (box, papers, tag, e.t.c.) it is also missing its hood ornament and i believe the luggage rack on the back is broken. I am planning to clean this car, remove all the grime however necessary, repair the luggage rack, and hopefully someday find a new hood ornament for it. These are notorious for having broken tire mirrors too, but i lucked out. It only cost me about $27 in the end. These things can sell for up to $200 in pristine condition. This model is especially unique for the franklin mint, not just because it is supposed to be a model of the real Al Capone car, but because certain details have been payed extra attention to. For example, instead of the doors having fake painted hinges, with the actual hinge unrealistically on the inside of the car, the doors on this car are actually hinged in the original hinge spots and they open very smoothly. Another interesting thing that this car has is a foldable luggage rack. (I also hope to find or make a little box for the rear of the Cadillac ). Anyways, just a neat little model. I will be sure to post the after photos too!

When you get all this together and it will be nice, think about making a lil' Al for behind the wheel! That would be so cool. :) Lori

Looking forward to the rejuvenation post. Put Al in back and some ex-boxer gangster behind the wheel. Maybe two gangsters in the front seat....
