So I've been going through my jewelry and putting my collections together. I've found several pieces of Coro. The four large floral brooches are sterling silver, unfortunately I believe one lost it's gold overlay. I purchased it and realized it may have resembled the others. The round piece in the lower right corner is a locket. I'm going to work on replacing stones/pearls, I just wanted to share. Question, how do you store your jewelry? How do you protect it?
You got some pretty Coro pieces there!
Those are so charming! It takes me back in time.
I have consolidated my pins in two places (for the most part). I have a glass topped felted tray with lots of subdivisions in it, like a grid. And not so long ago I bought a cool old jewelry box where I store my favorites. I like to see my jewelry and have easy access, and too many little boxes make it difficult although it is probably safer for them. I don't leave them out in the open though.
Having a place for them also reigns in my impulse to gather more-- no more room!
:) (fingers crossed...)
Thank you for the ideas Valentino, Andream, and thanks for the love Mrstyndall, fortapache, plein-air, PhilD, and Watchsearcher. I wanted to make certain I was storing my jewelry appropriately. Valentino I live in Texas, it doesn't get anymore humid and Andrea, I can't stand when I can't find a piece I would like to wear; it drives me crazy. I will consider the clear boxes, it makes sense.
Oh and labeling, I need to label! Great idea Valentino!
Lovely Coro collection, the green flower would be great to wear today for St Patrick's Day
Thank you Newfld, I am going out and it is on my blouse. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Lots of beauties here, always drawn to the gold flower, beautiful !~
