Got this a while ago off the internet. It's 23cm high and made using the crackle glass method, the outside is very sharp and a more delicate hand than my big mitt might need gloves to handle, it really is that rough! The lady I got it from told me after the sale that an Aunt of hers travelled all the way from Dunedin NZ to Switzerland for an operation at the turn of the century (wow what a journey in those times) and she brought back quite a bit of nice stuff and thought this was one of them. Does that tie in right anyone who might have a better idea of its origins?
If anyone is wondering why I'm suddenly listing a few items I have followed Collectors Weekly for a while esp Racer4four for info on Japanese glass but my old computer was a tad slow, just got a brand new secondhand one which is wizzbang fast so there is a backlog :)

This jug, has been the subject of differences of opinion as to its origins. Harrach or the British company, Stevens and Williams. The reason the surface is sharp is that frit (minute glass chips) have been added after the crackle process. This was explained to me by someone on a Facebook glass group, when I posted my jug there. He came down on the side of Harrach.
