Remember how you think to yourself "Damn it's got a defect but when will I ever see another one of these again".
I got the first one in thinking it was quite unique (seen similar on the net since but not quite the same) and then about a year later another one turns up on an internet sale site from a different part of NZ, well I had to have it! It was advertised as having a small piece of the branch missing but it's always hard to tell with these applied bits of glass as they quite often have a sharp as opposed to a smooth end. The branch, leaves and cherry stem are uranium. The vase is 14cm diameter and 12cm high.
What a stunning pair of rose bowls! I'm a big fan of pieces with applied decoration, & cherries are always at the top of my list. Well done on putting together the pair, as well.
I think your rose bowls are most likely Harrach, ref. page 64 of Truitt vol. one. They also come with green lines and a green 'trellis' pattern. I have one with the trellis pattern posted here. Great to own a pair!
Agree with peggy (sklo42) and love anything with applied cherries!
