This guy is about 1-1/4" x 4" and weighs 1-1/2lbs or so. He is reclining on a couple shields or something, I don't know what that's all about. He has the lettering "HELVETIORUM FIDEL AC VIRTUTI" on his base, GoogleTranslate seems to call that Latin meaning something about "valor of the Helvetii, is the faithful" whatever that means.
He seems to be only bronze colored over some kind of heavy pot metal which is worn or dinged in a few places, there is now a hard and somewhat misshapen remains of a rubberish bottom surface suggesting part of him might be hollow despite his weight. Also part of a paper sticker there, but no remaining marks on it.
Very nice piece!! Highly detailed!!
Based on the Lion Monument in Lucerne Switzerland.
“The latin inscription HELVETIORUM FIDEI AC VIRTUTI means "To the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss".
