Sergio bought this basket six weeks ago….It was offered in Marketplace of Facebook and then we look for it in a suburb. It is our first basket and Sergio paid only 7 U$ for it. It is 28 cm tall and 500g of weight. The inside layer of glass has a difficult to define color…. Lemon yellow? Then there is the mottles in brown with a few ones in red, over this a clear layer of glass. There are some baskets with black handle like this one. Sklo published several a few days ago https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/294305-bohemian-and-czech-baskets?in=user and as I decided to post items thinking in my friends of CW, this post is dedicated to him and Jericho that has post several baskets https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/107523-welz-vrs-kralik-4--shape-study and to larskel that have some mottled glass. All of them could be interested in this post, perhaps.
Following the line of reasoning of Jericho this could be most probably Kralik, because there are no rim, see also the post of Sklo. But I was not able to find this combination of colors in Kralik spatter glass… I post a detail of the flower pressed to attach the handle and of the bottom from the inside to show that it is translucent. Thanks for looking and every comment is a joy for me.

You have started with a lovely basket, Sylvia. Images two and three suggest the décor is Welz Oxblood on Yellow. If you could show an image of the base it would be very helpful. I've never seen a flower impressed on the handle of a Welz basket. On the other hand I have that style of rim crimp on a Welz vase and Welz basket. Additionally Welz did use black handles and did use older type spatters on Art Deco shapes. A picture of the base really would help. Peggy.

It looks like tortoise shell from the outside. Nice.

Thanks Peggy for your time. I had replace the picture of the inside for one of the pontil, it is levigated and you can see the layer of clear glass

Thanks a lot Celiene and yes it has something of tortoise

Thank you, Sylvia. The base wasn't exactly what I expected. Welz baskets usually have a rough, snapped off pontil scar. If the rough pontil makes the basket wobble then it will be ground out, as yours is. I can also see more of the décor on the under side of the basket. So on balance I think it's most likely to be Welz.
