The wine glass is a memento of the 2016 Preakness. Its capacity is 300Ml, and is really well designed.
The National Bohemian glass also holds 300Ml. The thickness of the glass, and the old Mr. Bo ACL logo give an attestation as to its age, of which I am trying to ascertain. There is no maker's mark on this item. If anyone can clarify this, please do so, your input would be appreciated.....
Cheers !!!!
Cheers Ted, I'll have a glass of wine in the beautiful Preakness memento thank you!
Coming right up, Jenni !!!! :)
Mr. Pilsener. He came along in the 1936.
"The National Brewing Company was a beer brewing company based in Baltimore, Maryland. The National Brewing Company operated from 1872 until the late 1970s. At the start of its production, the company was known exclusively for its National Premium beer. In 1885, National Brewery Company began brewing their flagship National Bohemian beer. While Mr. Boh, the icon for National Bohemian beer is much more well known, National Premium also had an icon of its own - Mr. Pilsner.
Natty Boh beer has long been a Baltimore favorite. National Bohemian, Natty Boh’s full name, was born in 1885 and did not begin production at the National brewery located in Canton until 1934. National Premium Beer was introduced to the Land of Pleasant Living in 1936 along with its mascot Mr. Pilsener. Mr. Boh was introduced at the same time. The two images were used to distinguish between National Premium and National Bohemian beers. While Mr. Boh is still around after all these years, and more popular than ever (even appearing as a tattoo on Natty Boh connoisseurs); sadly Mr. Pilsner has disappeared from The Land of Pleasant Living’s horizon.
