Unknown Pottery Baking Pot

I have this covered pottery dish.
It has a brown & black color and appears to be very coarse & unglazed.
It is 8-3/4" across the lid and stands approx. 6" tall with the lid on.
7-2/4" across the brim.
The bottom is 3" tall and the base is not flat, only 2" or so rest when on set on a flat surface.
One of the pictures show a chipped handle and the type of material.
On the inside of the lid, there are scrapping lines that I think we're made in the creating process.
There are no makers marks.
