This one is smaller (probably also a bit newer?) than the other I recently put up with my 'carport decor', and it too came from cleanout house #1 last year. It only carried two smaller gauge wires from the house to the garage, thus not quite as much a *huge* electrical code violation than the bigger one that carried all the power for both structures in from the pole on the street... <eeek>

TRUST ME, both are very much safer for all concerned now that both these things simply decorate my carport.. <lol>

I just noted that a horseshoe is hanging over the door. I’ve heard that, for luck, they should hang with the ‘opening’ facing upward; if facing downward, all the luck pours out.....so my mother said. :-)

I actually looked into that 'horseshoe' thing when I hung it up there Watchsearcher, and came up with decidedly mixed reports whether the luck 'pouring out' of a so positioned shoe was as much a *bad thing* for its homeowner (as per your Mom's advice) OR, a *good thing* for all visiting the home...???

      Could be either way then!

Hmmm...I know I've got another old horseshoe around here somewhere that came along after I put that one over the door...mebbe I should go find it, and hang them both up there next to each other, *sideways*...??? <lol>
