Here is a clock I picked up at my local clock shop.Same shop as the other clock I posted. I have known about this clock since about January 2021, when I bought my other Seth Thomas Adamantine clock. Today, I spent about four hours detailing my neighbors car to pay for it. I felt obligated to buy it, not only because I liked it, but because the clock was sitting on display in direct sunlight at the clock shops entrance. Which, as you may know, is one of the worst things you can do to a clock. Mechanically, the clock is in great shape. The clock shop had previously removed and restored the workings inside of it. However, as you can see in the pictures, the finish is dirty, dull, and stained. It will take some elbow grease cleaning it up, but Im sure I can make it happen!
Mystery:
#1; Exactly what year was this clock made? I looked online, and the clock seems to be made between 1881 and 1885 but I am not totally sure about this. If you need me to look somewhere on the clock for information as to when it was made, just let me know in the comments.
#2; What is this clock worth? PLEASE LOOK AT THE SECOND POST I AM PLANNING TO PUT UP ON THE RESTORATION TO GET AN ACCURATE IDEA OF WHAT THE CLOCK IS WORTH AFTER I AM DONE RESTORING IT. Thanks.
