Royal Doulton Flambe Vase

One of the very colourful ones purple, red, orange, green and yellow about 180mm high. Sort of a family heirloom it originally belonged to the mother of a couple that were good friends of my Grandfather, when the mother got old they had it passed to them and when they downsized they gave it to my mother.
Their family had racehorse connections and every year the people in the industry went to Christchurch for the week long carnival and in CHCH was a shop that imported RD and it was the good stuff as the racehorse crowd were well cashed up. It was known that prior to ebay collectors from the UK would come to NZ to check the local antique/second hand shops as stuff has turned up in NZ that is very rare over there. Sad part of the story is there was once a pair! Not me I never saw it :)
