As a period graphic design, I love it! Great logo!
Remember when the National Rifle Association had something to do with issuing these stamps and maintaining code over Picture Mouldings & Picture Frames?
Yeah, me neither.
I'm sure it all makes perfect sense, though.
Still,

Thanks to BB2 and dav2no1, who pointed out that the NRA was the Depression-Era National Recovery Administration.
I should have known that.
Hmmm....
Now, THAT makes me wonder....
This NRA was a gov't. relief program in the depression era. Can't remember what the letters stood for, but sure one of our CW sleuths will provide it.
National recovery administration(NRA), U.S. government agency established by Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt to stimulate business recovery through fair-practice codes during the Great Depression.
