I found this in a second-hand shop in Berkeley today. It's so enormous that it's difficult to move. You can get an idea of the scale in the photo showing my Irish Wolfhound 'Lucy'. Any idea where this was made and when? or anything?

Lucy, the Irish Wolfhound, is a huge dog! & the vase is even hugerer, which looks to be in really good condition. Cut, tall Sunflowers might look good in there ?

thanks jscotto and Alfie! a bouquet of huge sunflowers would look amazing in it!

This piece has me really confused. I believe that it is quite a bit older than most people seem to think. There are lots of tiny impurities, but it is such a skillful, balanced piece. it weighs about 100 lbs. It's thick, but well-proportioned, hard porcelain. The base? Where is that seen? Is it Chinese? American? California? Hollywood Regency? Hillside Potters?
