Here is a 2 3-4"H x 4"W ice blue glass rabbit paperweight originally designed by Heisey Glass in the 1940s, reissued by the HCA (Heisey Collectors of America) for Dalzell Viking in 1996, with marks HCA, D & 96 imprinted on base. Nicknamed the Bonnie Bunny by the HCA, info from book Glass Animals by Spencer
Beautiful Bonnie Bunny!!!!
Truly a beaute all on his own, it also appears to carry a lot of magic in his prescience !~
Aah a lovely relaxed bunny!!! Reminds me of those big fluffy lop ear variety. You always see them in petting zoo's and they tend to be most calm and gentle of bunnies. I imagine yours sitting in some straw chewing some! :P
Many thanks to you all for the love

Thanks so much Scott for your super compliment, it is indeed a 'Bonnie' Bunny with a lovely sloe-eyed design by the great Royal Hickman, he had such a wonderful art deco touch in all his animals, you rarely found an animal without flair from the Heisey company & I'm very glad you liked this rabbit, your opinion here is tops
Yes Phil it's a rather magical rabbit with an almost otherworldly appearance, thank you for your fabulous comment as ever, your turn of phrase is the absolute best my friend
I adore your beautiful view of this rabbit Lauren, you describe it so perfectly as it does look a relaxed lop-eared bunny and they are very gentle and peaceful :) Don't you miss the petting zoos, they would occasionally bring the small animals to the boardwalk at our Jones Beach State Park and you could pet them, but since all the restrictions from the virus we have to wait til they relax the laws a bit. Oh well, perhaps better days are ahead, I do miss these bunnies!!
We somehow ended up with a pet bunny before Christmas. She is the sweetest thing, lives happily eating our back yard, comes in for snuggles and pats, and looks much like this piece.
Beautiful long ears and a contented face. Viking always have such lovely glass colours too.
i really love glass rabbits, the colour of this one its amazing

That is so perfect Karen, a real bunny in your backyard that is tame - makes the holiday even more special. I love wild rabbits, we see brown ones every so often darting around, such peaceful creatures. Yes I agree, Viking made some of the very best American glass animals, they were great at detail, and their curves can be challenging to photograph. Thanks for your sweet comment :)
Thank you Kinki for enjoying this glass rabbit, it is a pretty cool color like a grayish blue, happy that you liked it!
Thank you Adele for the love for this light blue glass rabbit, very kind of you and I'm so grateful for your thoughtfulness
