The April Mantelpiece. To while away the time during lockdown I've been changing the glass on the mantelpiece each month. In the centre there are fairy lamps, On either side are life lights, which come in roughly three different heights. On each end are candle lamps. The candle goes in the bowl and the bowl sits on the pedestal. Hopefully this will be the last lockdown post!

What a beautiful spring display! Your collection has grown so much Peggy. The forms in your photo are really terrific!

      Fantastic display!
I especially admire the sustained & thoughtful focus that you bring to your collection, Peggy, it's so impressive.
May this herald the end of lockdowns & the start of a brighter future for all!

Each little group is a masterful display of art glass and arrangement.
The whole mantelpiece display just blows me away.
It says as much about your artistic sense as it does the glass blowers' skill and creativity.
Peggy it is a joy to see this early in the morning here.

Michelle, thank you. This was my third attempt, essentially I had to restrict the colour palette, twice!

Thank you, scott. We are now out of lockdown and into the gardening season, so no longer any time for mantelpieces!

Amazing!! It's just so fresh and modern at the same time. Love it!

Thank you, aissia, I think it's the colours. Much Victorian glass uses dark colours which is dreary to the modern taste.
