Siam Red Necklace Japanned backing, Signed
Obtained late February 2021. An unusual design is probably the only thing one can say. The back is signed in their script rectangular signature block. This was bought because a collection of some spectacular bracelets in this colour is not enough to show in a collection. No matter what colour, I now understand that you have to have a variety of designs even to call it a collection in most jewellery. ...H
Glamorous & absolutely gorgeous Siam red Sherman necklace, the alternating drop navette design is awesome
Stunning necklace!! Unfortunately Sherman Jewellery are not readily available in my area. The long navettes and Japanned metal make for a gorgeous combination!!
Oh WOW!! That is truly beautiful!!
So interesting to see that unusual design! Really pretty.
Thank you Eileen, it helps to differentiate the piece !~

Thank you Eileen, love to you !~
Phil, I think it's lovely - that ruby red is so vibrant and energetic!
Re: your last comments at top, I think maybe there are 2 kinds of collections: the professional or completicist's collection (which must be representative of the whole range irrespective of personal likes and dislikes), and the individualist collection (which is smaller, cherry-picked according to one's taste - and, very likely, one's budget too).
I love large collections because they give me a panoramic view of the full creative display (in this case, of Sherman's literal and figurative brilliance). But, I also greatly enjoy small collections because they say so much about the individual's aesthetic leanings and character. This is one reason I like hearing which pieces particularly appeal to you.
Thanks rhineisfine, I also like to find some of sherman's awkward designs and some of the earliest designs which were a lot like jay-flex who sherman worked for before he started on his own. I kind of imagine he was a salesman there. Appreciate your comment !~
Missed this one! Speaking of missing something, I wonder what happened to Eileen?!
Eileen had quit posting but comes on CW though rarely !~
Thanks for the update!
