    It's not that often a piece of cloisonne enamel escapes my knowledge of the country of production. This small box has elements that could be attributed to Russia, (last image back of spoon). or China, or Taiwan, or unknown. Post 1900, or much more recent period.

    It is a very lovely design of floral arabesque on a semi translucent green enamel background. The interior is also unusual in a deep blue shade of enamel.

    Not marked, sold at estate auction as Chinese. Not so sure.
