I was told that this creature represented a "Dream Eater" but it does not look the the ones that I see on line. This looks like a three-legged frog. Can anyone help?

I have two of these frogs. One bronze the other stone. They have a place where you put a coin in their mouth. I like them because they're so weird. Not sure why they only have one foot in the back, tho.
OpheliaandCo,
Thanks for the great info and comment!!!
He is a Chinese Jin Chan. He is supposed to bring you money. I have a Cinnabar one!
Here's a similar bronze:

WOW. Check this one. She says it's the 3 legged toad of Liu Hai. (It's CHINESE, not Japanese!)

I once had a large jade Liu Hai and his toad on his back.
"Liu Hai represents prosperity and wealth to the Chinese. He was a government official and alchemist in ancient China who befriended a three-legged toad. According to the story, every time the toad jumped into a well he returned with a gold coin. Having an image of these two in your home or office greatly improves your chance of receiving riches."
Celiene,
